We wish to set out the measures that we are taking as a business in response to the escalating situation in the UK due to COVID-19. We have a business response team in place who are monitoring all updates to UK Government policy and guidance.
At the moment, all our branches and offices are open for business. We are asking our staff to take additional precautions to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees and customers who visit us in branch or in one of our support centres.
- We have increased the frequency with which we clean all of our offices, and are ensuring the cleaning standards are consistent with government advice. Customer and colleague safety remains our top priority.
- We have restricted business travel between branches and have cancelled any non-essential meetings.
- For external property appointments, we are ensuring we take the same precautions and share our guidance with all colleagues, contractors and customers.
If it becomes necessary, our property and tenancy management systems and telephony can be accessed remotely and used by some staff who can work from home. We will endeavour to keep business disruption to our customers to a minimum but are informing sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants that there may be circumstances in which we are unable to facilitate access to a property for a viewing or for repairs or maintenance, if, for example, an occupant is self-isolating or if Government policy changes. If these issues arise in connection with your property, we will inform you accordingly and we will continue to keep you informed as is necessary via email or our website.
